F.A.Q.

What can I expect on my first visit?

Prior to our first meeting you will be asked to complete a comprehensive health history and diet diary. This information, combined with an in-depth discussion, will help me assess your current needs. Some physical exam will be performed and an initial, individualized treatment plan will be provided. Follow up typically happens at 4-6 week intervals depending on the nature of your concerns.

What conditions do you treat?

While much of what we do focuses on disease prevention and health promotion ND’s treat a wide variety of chronic conditions. These include but are not limited to:

  • Digestive concerns such as IBS, inflammatory bowel disease
  • Skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, hives
  • Metabolic concerns such as type 2 diabetes and prediabetes
  • Cardiovascular concerns such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure
  • Asthma, allergies and food sensitivities
  • Premenstrual syndrome and peri-menopausal and menopausal symptoms
  • Pregnancy and post-partum support
  • Insomnia and other sleep concerns
  • Auto-immune conditions
  • Mental health concerns like stress, anxiety and depression
  • Acute conditions like fevers, ear infections, sinusitis, and bronchitis

Do you work with other health care practitioners?

ND’s are regulated primary care providers and general practitioners of natural medicine. We are trained to work collaboratively with other practitioners. I often refer to MD’s, registered massage therapists, chiropractors, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, podiatrists and others.

Does Health Insurance cover Naturopathic medicine?

While OHIP does not cover naturopathic visits, most private health insurance plans cover at least a portion of naturopathic treatments. Check your policy to determine what your coverage entails.

What method of payment do you accept?

Payment is due at the time of the appointment. We accept cash, cheque or e transfer.
